Granular Activated Carbon

Granular activated carbon (GAC) is an organic carbon filtration media designed to remove organic chemicals from water in a fixed bed or cartridge application, including eliminating chemicals that produce odours or tastes, such as iron, sulphur or chlorine.

Features:

  • Derived from organic materials, such as coconut shells, coal, wood, or peat
  • Used for food grade applications, wastewater remediation, de-colourization applications, chemical and pharmaceutical purification
  • Based on type and amount of contaminants in water, water use, and other chemicals in water
